About EFT

EFT is often referred to as ‘the tapping technique’. It is part of the field of Energy Psychology and is used by hundreds of thousands of people around the world to eliminate negative emotions and feelings. It does so by removing limiting beliefs and dissolving accumulated emotional pain.

EFT is a powerful mind-body ‘therapy’ and is often described as emotional acupuncture without the needles because it combines gentle tapping on key acupuncture points while applying focused thought on the difficulties you would like eliminated. When skilfully applied, the underlying emotional factors that contribute to the problem are typically released along with the energy blocks.

The magic ingredient in your own emotional healing is you

Where possible the challenge of acquiring and maintaining personal emotional health is our individual responsibility and choice.  Nobody else can create emotional health for us.

Of course it takes some effort, insight and often a great deal of courage to ‘go there’; this is especially so where the depth of trauma is very deep and painful.

Once we are emotionally ready to give up the attachment to the ‘bad things that happen/happened’ to us, or that we are a victim of bad luck or fortune, and instead take on the knowledge and belief that our lives may be constructed from within ourselves, that we have the power to develop the controls to a large extent, our life becomes more meaningful and less stressful.

When this concept is embraced, the true healing begins.

If you are under the care of a medical practitioner it is advisable to consult with the practitioner before considering substituting any existing medical management with EFT.

EFT is a wonderful adjunct to existing therapy and also as a ‘stand-alone’ modality.
